Short biography
Lilit Kharatyan studied Translation Studies at Yerevan State University (2012-2016), followed by a Master's in Applied Linguistics at the same university (2016-2018). She later transitioned to Computational Linguistics and NLP, completing her European Masters in Technologies for Translation and Interpreting (EM-TTI) first at the Research Group of Computational Linguistics (RGCL) at the University of Wolverhampton, UK (2021-2022), and then at the University of Malaga, Spain (2022-2023), supported by the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. Her major research interests lie in machine translation and speech processing. Her master's dissertation focused on the development, deployment, and evaluation of automatic speech translation models (Adam Kilgariff award).
