Short biography
Andrey Shatskov studied general and Indo-European comparative linguistics at St. Petersburg State University (Specialist, 2003) and Leiden University (M.A. 2005). The area of his doctoral research were Hittite infixed verbs (Candidate of Sciences degree at Institute for Linguistic Studies, St. Petersburg, 13.11.2007; Ph.D. at the Leiden University, 25.10.2017). Andrey Shatskov was a Researcher and Senior Researcher at Institute for Linguistic Studies, St. Petersburg (2006-2023) and a researcher at the University of Naples ‘L’Orientale’ (04.2024-03.2025). From May 2025 on, Andrey Shatskov works on the project ‘The Periphrastic Perfect in Hittite: Development and functions’ at the Chair of Comparative linguistics of the University of Würzburg.
