Seminar: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Ancient Western Asia

Content:
The module offers space for interdisciplinary teaching in the fields of Ancient Studies and the Humanities. Inter disciplinary questions and/or theoretical perspectives are discussed comparatively through diverse corpora of ancient sources and/or discipline-specific backgrounds. Students work on selected topics in presentations and seminar papers.

Learning objectives:
Reflective and critical examination of specialized knowledge and research opinions. Promotion of interdisciplina ry, networked thinking and transfer competency.

Examination:
presentation (approx. 30 minutes) with handout (1 to 2 pages) and research paper (3,000 to 3,500 words excluding bibliography)
