Content:
The module introduces to the history of research about the ancient cultures of Western and Central Asia as well as into the intellectual premises that were applied in their interpretation (theoretical frameworks). Students will prepare selected topics for presentations and seminar papers.
Learning objectives:
The module will strengthen the ability to classify, reflect and critically question specialized knowledge and rese arch opinions. Promotion of problem awareness, judgment and argumentation skills. Training of interdisciplinary thinking and transfer competency.
Examination:
a) presentation (approx. 45 minutes) with handout (1 to 2 pages) or
b) research paper (2,000 to 2,500 words excluding bibliography)
