Content:
The BA thesis consists of an independently written research paper addressing a specific problem within the field of ancient Near Eastern studies, which utilizes scholarly methods and is completed within the time period stipulated by the ASPO. In case of the BA with two majors, the BA thesis can be of an interdisciplinary nature addressing a problem related to both fields. The topic will be arranged with the supervising instructor or, in case of an interdisciplinary thesis, with both supervising instructors.
Learning objectives:
The student will possess the ability to address a specific problem within the field of ancient Near Eastern studies using scholarly methods and can present his/her results in an appropriate written form.
Examination:
Research paper (9,500-10,000 words).
